The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs have announced their 2010 daily promotions for home games at Regency Furniture Stadium, as well as the promotional schedule for opening weekend at Regency Furniture Stadium against the Long Island Ducks.

Every Monday home game is “Bark In The Park” Monday, and fans can bring their dog to the park and enjoy the game from the lawn section, courtesy of Joanne’s Pet Sitting Service.   Every Tuesday is Silver Sluggers Night, presented by Hearing Professionals.  Members of the Blue Crabs Silver Sluggers Club for fans age 50 and older receive discounted tickets to the 10 Tuesday home games, and can play baseball bingo at each game.  For more information on how to join the Silver Sluggers, please call 301-638-9788 or visit the Blue Crabs online at www.somdbluecrabs.com

Wednesday is Wawa “Wins” Day.  If the Blue Crabs lose at home on a Wednesday this season, your ticket becomes a buy one get one free coupon for tickets to the next Wednesday home game presented by Wawa.  On “Payday Thursdays” the first 100 fans inside the ballpark will be handed an envelope with various amounts of money, beginning with one dollar.  One lucky fan’s envelope will have $100 courtesy of The Washington Savings Bank. 

Rounding out the week is Sport Clips MVP Friday Nights.  Come out to each Friday home game for the chance to win a free season pass of haircuts at Sport Clips.

The weekends begin with Game Show Saturdays where a favorite game show will provide the theme throughout the night.  Then be sure to come to the ballpark early before the game on Sundays for “Meet The Team Sunday,” as the Blue Crabs players and coaches will sign free autographs on the field for 20 minutes immediately after the gates open.  (Gates open one hour before game time.)  Then after the game, kids 15 and under can run the bases.  Fireworks will follow every Friday and Saturday game.

Friday, April 30 is Opening Day presented by Scotts Miracle Grow, as the Blue Crabs begin the home schedule against the Long Island Ducks at 7:05 p.m.  The first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive a magnet schedule presented by Community Bank of Tri-County.  There will also be fireworks and Sport Clips MVP Friday Night.

The Saturday, May 1 game at 6:35 p.m. is the first of five Civista Health Nights at Regency Furniture Stadium, with a spectacular fireworks display following the game presented by Civista.  It’s also Game Show Saturday.  The three game series concludes on Sunday, May 2 with Bike To The Park Night; any Blue Crabs fan with a motorcycle is encouraged to show their wheels off at Regency Furniture Stadium to cap a great opening weekend.  First pitch is scheduled for 2:05 p.m., but be sure to come when gates open at 1 p.m. to meet the team and get autographs.  Then, kids can stay and run the bases following the game.
