Commissioners Hold Public Hearing for Spring Water & Sewer Amendment Cycle

The Charles County Commissioners held a public hearing on Tuesday, April 27, to give citizens an opportunity to comment on the 2010 Spring Amendments to the Charles County Comprehensive Water and Sewer Plan.
These amendments are completed semi-annually, and generally consist of Water and Sewer map amendments and proposed text amendments to the Water and Sewer Plan. There is also a text amendment regarding upgrades to existing sewage treatment plants to provide enhanced nutrient removal facilities.
The Commissioners voted to keep the record open for public comment for 10 business days, until 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 12, 2010. Comments can be submitted via e-mail to: commissioners@charlescounty.org, faxed to the Commissioners’ Office at (301) 645-0560, or sent via U.S. postal mail to: Attn: Charles County Commissioners, P.O.
