On May 24, Deputies responded to a residence on Lexwood Court in Lexington Park, for an assault.

Investigation revealed Samuel Lee Montgomery, 39 of Lexington Park, threw a telephone, for no apparent reason, striking one victim at the residence in the head.  A third party in the residence confronted Montgomery about the assault and an argument between the two ensued.

Montgomery went into the kitchen, grabbed a knife, placed it along the third party’s (victim’s) neck and cut the victim.  The victim was able to fend off the attack.

Montgomery fled but was located a short distance from the residence, arrested and charged with one count of first-degree assault and two counts of second-degree assault.
