New SoMD Adult Men's Lacrosse League

Adult Men's Lacrosse League brings new sports options to Southern Maryland. A group of dedicated Lacrosse coaches and former players have joined together and formed the Southern Maryland Adult Lacrosse League.
This summer marks the second season which starts Thursday, June 17 and will run until August 19. This year is the formation of dedicated teams, with four games held every Thursday night, two at 6 p.m. and two at 7 p.m.
The games will take place at the Leonard Hall Junior Naval Academy Field, 41740 Baldridge Street, Leonardtown, MD 20650. There are six teams from St. Mary's County and two teams from Calvert County.
The following local businesses have rallied around the new league as sponsors: Imagine One Technology & Management, Ltd.; Raley, Watts and O'Neill; Raymond James; Chesapeake Custom Embroidery, Inc; and Kevin McDevitt, LLC for the Imagine One Wingmen, The Green Door Tavern and SERVPRO for the Green Door Ninjas; the Grid Iron Grill for the team of the same name; Ruddy Duck Brewery & Grill for the South Calvert Ruddy Ducks; and Marrick Homes and Wound Tight Sportfishing for Wound Tight Lacrosse. Three other teams are also expected to join and will be there for the opening night on June 17th.
