The severe atmospheric conditions which produced funnel cloud formations have passed to the north. A tornado watch remains in effect until 1 p.m. 


Weather Officials have issued a tornado warning for parts of eastern St. Mary's and Calvert Counties. Indications are that there are strong funnel cloud producing atmospheric conditions. The mass of dangerous air is moving north and heading into PG county. The dangerous conditions are currently over the Lusby area. 


The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Advisory, Wind Advisory and Small Craft Advisory for all of Southern Maryland until later this evening. A tornado warning had been issued for Calvert and St. Mary's until 4:30 a.m., but has since expired.

Light rain overspreading the area from the South this evening will increase in intensity tonight...becoming heavy at times as low pressure tracks up the East Coast. Rainfall totals of two to four inches are expected, with localized amounts of six inches possible.
 
- A Gale Warning is in effec for th lower Tidal Potomac and Maryland Chesapeake Bay.
