On New Year's Eve 2010, BayNet Radio and The Sam Grow Band, broadcasting live from Jake & Al's Chop House in Lusby provided a full night of entertainment to a jam-packed house.

Beginning promptly at 9 p.m., Program Manager and morning DJ John Hunt began broadcasting live on stage, warming up the audience for the night ahead. One by one, members of The Sam Grow Band — Gene Quade on bass, Joe Barrick on drums, and Mike Stacey on guitar — assembled behind Hunt on stage. At 9:30, Sam Grow himself walked onstage and began a performance that lasted a full three hours, pausing only briefly at midnight for the New Year's Countdown.

The enthusiastic crowd, many longtime Sam Grow fans as well as first-timers, began dancing, singing and cheering as Sam played hit after hit. Grow's performance consisted of both radio-friendly originals such as ‘Just Another Love Song,’ and ‘Oh So Jaded,’ as well as covers spanning numerous musical genres to please almost everyone.

Fans of Classic Rock were enthralled by ‘Simple Man,’ ‘Sweet Home Alabama,’ ‘Any Way You Want It,’ and more. Those preferring more 90's Top-30 enjoyed ‘Faith,’ ‘Father Figure,’ and a punchy version of ‘Roxanne,’ with lead vocals by Gene Quade

Even those who enjoy music on the R&B side were impressed with Grow's bluesy vocals on ‘Superstition’ and ‘Let's Get It On,’ as well as rock-flavored interpretations of Usher hits ‘DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love,’ and ‘OMG.’ Hunt lent his vocal talents on renditions of ‘What I Got’ and ‘Drift Away,’ which has become somewhat of a tradition at Sam Grow shows.

As midnight approached, Hunt introduced the other Baynet Radio DJs in attendance, including James LePore, his daughter Amanda LePore, and newcomer DJ Toni B, who, with guests that traveled as far as 175 miles to attend this event, danced nonstop until 1:30 a.m.
