Calvert Library Hosting FREE Resume Writing, Tips Class
2/11/2011
In a partnership with Tri-County Council for Southern Maryland, Workforce Services, Calvert Library Prince Frederick is hosting a basic resume writing and tips class on Tuesday, February 15 at 10 a.m.. Eric Hernandez, Client Services Manager with Workforce Services will teach the class. If you are looking for a job or thinking of looking for a better job, don't miss this free class. There will be an opportunity for one-on-one help as well so bring your current resume if you have one.
Calvert Library offers job search assistance on a daily basis and this partnership is just one more way to meet the needs of our customers. Every Thursday, volunteer job counselor Sandra Holler spends a couple of hours at Calvert Library Prince Frederick helping people with their resumes and offering job search hints. Ms. Holler will be taking March off but will be back again in April. To help fill in the gap, Hernandez will be offering classes and help at the library on the second and fourth Thursdays (March 10 and 24). Each class will begin at 10am and run for two hours.
In addition to these partnerships, customers can get online help with their resume through Brainfuse Adult Learning Center accessed on Calvert Library’s Services/Job Search Help webpage http://calvert.lib.md.us/jobs.html. Reference librarians at each Calvert Library location can also help with resumes, online job applications, resume templates in Microsoft Word and more. Small classes are offered on a regular basis and one-on-one help can be requested as needed. For more information, call the Calvert Library Prince Frederick at (410) 535-0291 or (301) 855-1862.
