On September 2, 2011 the St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations requested the public's assistance in locating registered sex offender Robert Samuel Barnes.Robert Samuel Barnes has been located and arrested.

The St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations is seeking the public's assistance in locating registered sex offender Robert Samuel Barnes, African/American Male, age 54, Ht.- 6'0”, Wt. - 180lbs, black hair, brown eyes.Barnes is wanted in connection with a residential burglary and second degree assault which occurred on September 1, 2011. 

Barnes is known to frequent the areas of St. George’s Island, Piney Point and Lexington Park. 

Persons with information about Barnes’ whereabouts are asked to call 301-475-4040 or Corporal William Raddatz of the Sex Offender Registry Unit at (301) 475-4200 extension 1958.
