Leonardtown, MD - 11/21/2011
Effective November 21, 2011, Level I water restrictions have been lifted for the Forrest Farm Community Water System.
Level I Water Restrictions were imposed for this community in July 2011 as a result of water usage exceeding the limits set by the Commission’s Water Appropriations Permit, which is issued by the Maryland Department of the Environment.Level I water restrictions include limiting the hours of outdoor irrigation and limiting the use of water for outdoor cleaning.
As of November 15, 2011, water usage for this community dropped below the limits set by the Commission’s Water Appropriations Permit. The St. Mary’s County Metropolitan Commission continues to request the assistance of all residents in conserving this precious resource.
For a complete list of water restrictions or if you have any questions, please contact the Operations Department of the St. Mary’s County Metropolitan Commission at (301) 373-4733, extension 101.
