Park Hall E.S. Math Teacher Honored
Leonardtown, MD - 12/3/2011
By Dick Myers
A Park Hall Elementary School teacher has been honored as one of the state’s top mathematics teachers. Fourth Grade teacher Jessie DeLorme has received one of the two elementary school awards in the annual Maryland Council of Teachers of Mathematics Teacher of the Year competition. In all, six teachers are chosen, two each from elementary, middle and high school levels.
DeLorme was honored at the November 30th St. Mary’s County Board of Education meeting. School Superintendent Dr. Michael Martirano presented the award to DeLorme, with Supervisor of Instruction for Elementary Mathematics Rebekah Loker looking on. Members of DeLorme’s family were also on hand for the occasion.
