Indian Head Appoints Members to Planning Commission, Economic Development Commission
Indian Head, MD - 12/6/2011
By Andy Marquis
Michael J. Pellegrino and Nathan Beauchamp were both appointed to two year terms on the Town of Indian Head Planning Commission and Economic Development Commission on Monday night. With those vacancies filled, the town continues to search for people to continue filling vacancies.
Pellegrino and Beauchamp were both unable to attend Monday’s meeting. The two year terms for each starts on December 5, 2011 and runs through December 2013. There are still two vacancies on the planning commission. Thomas N. Blake, Sr. was appointed to a two year term in October.
Indian Head Mayor Dennis Scheessele also announced during the meeting that OBO Pizza was setting up shop in Indian Head. OBO is a brick oven pizzeria with one location at the Smallwood Village shopping center in Waldorf. Scheessele, who presented Town Manager Ryan Hicks’ report, said he was excited about the arrival and said the necessary permits have been issued and work is being done.
The Town of Indian Head is also preparing for the holiday season as they have several events, including a Christmas tree lighting ceremony on Tuesday night at the Village Green Pavilion.
