Traffic Stop, Weed on Seat, Arrest in Lexington Park

On Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 12:18am, TFC E. M. Evans initiated a traffic stop on a white Toyota truck in the area of Maryland Route 235 and Buck Hewitt Road in Lexington Park for a traffic violation. Upon approaching the vehicle, contact was made with Bradley Cornelius Davis, 20, of Great Mills, the operator of the vehicle. While identifying Mr. Davis, TFC Evans detected the odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Subsequently, Mr. Davis was asked to exit the vehicle and a probable cause search was conducted. The search produced positive results, revealing CDS – Marijuana on the passenger seat. Mr. Davis was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was charged and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
