Juvenile Arrested for WaWa Theft

On Sunday, February 12, 2012 at 12:49pm, a lookout was broadcasted by the Emergency Communications Center pertaining to a vehicle and occupants involved in a theft from Wawa on Three Notch Road in Mechanicsville. Shortly after the broadcast, Tpr. E. R. Mersman observed a vehicle matching the description and conducted a traffic stop. Upon contact with the vehicle, it was determined that the vehicle and its occupants had recently left the Wawa, and would return at the request of Tpr. Mersman for the investigation. Upon returning to the scene of the theft, the vehicle and one occupant were positively identified as being involved in the theft. The subject, a juvenile male, 17, of Lexington Park provided a statement that resulted in his arrest for Theft Under $100.00. The juvenile was charged at the scene and released to a guardian pending further action by Juvenile Services.
