Charles County High Schools Plan for Spring Productions

Student actors in Charles County’s six public high schools are preparing for spring plays, which begin this month. The following is a list of school plays, ticket and contact information for each high school.
Thomas Stone High School will present “Zombie Prom,” on March 22-24, at 7 p.m.Tickets are $8 for adults, and $5 for students and senior citizens. School system employees receive two complementary tickets by showing their identification badges. Call 301-645-2601 for more details.
Actors at North Point High School are presenting “Legally Blonde: the Musical,” on March 22-24, and March 29-30. Showtime for all performances is 7 p.m. Tickets are $8 for general admission, and $5 for students and senior citizens. System employees receive one free ticket by showing their identification badge. Due to a contractual obligation, Westlake High School is unable to promote its spring play, scheduled for March 22-24 at 7 p.m., outside of the school. Contact the school at 301-645-8857 for more information about the play. Tickets are $8 for adults, $7 for students and senior citizens, and $6 for thespians. Staff members receive one free complementary ticket with their identification badge.
The drama department at Maurice J. McDonough High School is presenting “Grease,” written by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey. Show times are April 19-20, at 7 p.m., April 21 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and April 22 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for students and senior citizens, and $7 for thespians who provide their school identification card.
Tickets can be purchased at the door or online atwww.mcdonoughdrama.com. School system employees also receive a complementary ticket by showing their identification badge. Call 301-934-2944 for more information.
Henry E. Lackey High School will present Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast,” on April 20-21 at 7 p.m., and 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 22. Tickets are $8 for adults, $7 for students, senior citizens and military service members, and $6 for thespians. School system staff receives two free tickets by showing their identification badge.
There is also a “Lunch with the Characters” performance available at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 21. Cost is $10 and includes a cold lunch and time for photographs with main characters, and a 1 p.m. performance. Reservations for this performance are required. Call 301-743-5431 for more information.
La Plata High School is presenting “Annie,” the weekend of May 3-6. Show times are May 3-5 at 6:30 p.m., and May 6 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Staff members also receive one free ticket with their id badge. Call 301-934-1100 for more information.
