Team A.I.P. Balls for MS at PHS
Lusby, MD - 3/12/2012
Team A.I.P. is bringing their talent back to this area. On March 24, 2012 they will be back at Patuxent High School. Last year they raised money for Autism Awareness. This year they have chosen to donate to Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
Team A.I.P. (Anything Is Possible) is really an inspiration team. With so many of today's youths giving up on a positive life and giving in to the negative easy way outs, we need celebrities putting out this positive message.
Team A.I.P. is an organization started in 2001 by internationally known basketball player Patrick Robinson aka Pat Da Roc.When Pat attended the University of Cincinnati, he bumped into an old guy that told him something that stuck with him throughout life.He said "Any challenge or difficult task that you face in life to remember three letters, A.I.P., which stood for Anything is Possible." This message inspired Pat to pursue his basketball career and spread a message of hope to youth throughout the world with his organization Team A.I.P.
Team A.I.P. is used as a tool to get through to the kids providing motivation through basketball exhibitions, public speaking engagements and numerous other community events.Members of this team are highly skilled professional basketball players and community role models. These players have been featured on ESPN And1 MixtapeTour, with the Harlem Globetrotters, in Gatorade and Nike commercials, in Slam magazine ads, and on Magic Johnson's MTV reality TV show. They are global icons. They have had exhibitions in numerous countries such as Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, China, Japan, Indonesia, Germany, and Zimbabwe.
The exhibitions these guys perform are spectacular. They consist of unique ball handling, amazing slam dunks, and ultimate crowd participation. Following the game each kid receives an autograph from the players. There are numerous giveaways and also merchandise items available. A portion of the ticket sales will be donated to the school’s athletic programs. Team A.I.P. also has a scholarship fund and gives to numerous charities.
Prior to the exhibitions Team A.I.P. does school visits where they speak to the kids and spread the message that anything is possible.
They also host a clinic prior to the game, teaching kids the fundamentals of the game. The cost for that is $5 per child
The Team A.I.P. experience will leave a lasting impression and inspire people of all ages to pursue their dreams. Please join in on this great event. When: Saturday April 9, 2011
