Owings Man Arrested After Assaulting Police Officers

On April 20 at 3:30 p.m. DFC P. Aurich responded the community park at Lake Shore Drive in Owings for the report of a suspicious person.The complainant advised that a man had been asking several children if they were at the park alone and where their parents were.The children gave a description and advised the direction the man was last seen walking toward.DFC Aurich located the subject walking on Arbor Way and attempted to stop him for questioning.The subject refused to stop and subsequently got into a struggle with DFC Aurich and Dep. J. Denton who responded to assist.The subject, later identified as Sean Wyatt Pullman, 23 of Owings, kicked and punched at the officers and attempted to grab one of the officer’s weapons but was unsuccessful.Pullman was subdued and handcuffed.Pullman was arrested and charged with two counts of 2nd degree assault, two counts of causing physical injury to a law enforcement officer engaged in the performance of his duties and resisting arrest.
