Cobb Island Hosts Fireman's Convention
Cobb Island, MD - 5/1/2012
By Andy Marquis
Perfect weather greeted the Southern Maryland Volunteer Fireman’s Association Convention on Sunday in Cobb Island as a parade was held for the fire companies that attended. A carnival was also held.
After a carnival was held, a series of games took place which emulated fire rescue situations where competitors were timed for their response. Fire departments from all three counties were represented. La Plata and Hollywood were represented almost in full. Charles County Commissioner Ken Robinson (D: 1st) and Charles County Sheriff Rex Coffey (D) also attended.
