Prince Frederick, MD - 5/7/2012
By Ryan DeGruy
On May 5th, 2012, the Calvert County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) hosted their annual open house. With live demonstrations ranging from K-9 Units , Police Motors Units, and Mountain Bike Patrol maneuvers, the CCSO entertained the public from 10AM-3PM.
Static displays ranged from one of the very first Maryland State Police Patrol units to the CCSO brand new SWAT truck. The mobile command post used during larger incidents was on display and available for walk-thru. After seeing all the equipment there were food vendors, public safety displays, and other fun activities to entertain just about everyone.
The event drew a large crowd and everyone appeared to be having a good time.
