Head-On Collision on Route 5 in Callaway

5/9.2012, 6:20 p.m. -- Police are investigating a head on collision between two cars at the intersection of Routes 5 and 249 in Callaway. The initial call was received at 5:06 p.m. An ambulance transported a person(s) injured in the accident to St. Mary’s Hospital. Officers from the Maryland State Police and St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office assisted in allowing traffic to flow through the heavily traveled route at rush hour. The Bay Net will have more information as it becomes available.
