On May 8 at 11:40 a.m., officers observed a pick-up truck parked on the shoulder of the roadway near the CSX tracks on Gallant Green Road near Truman Manor Drive in Waldorf. As the officers checked on the vehicle, they observed Robert Franklin Reick, 37, and Toni Lee Adelman, 46, both of Waldorf, walking toward the truck carrying steel spikes and plates they stole from CSX. In addition, officers found the bed of their truck partially filled with other scrap metals that had been stolen. Further, tools, gloves, and lights were also recovered. Both suspects were charged with theft. Cpl. J. Burroughs and Officer M. Armstrong made the arrests.
