Hello, My name is James Armstead.
I am a disabled man, living in Maryland, born in Memphis, Tennessee. All my life, I have never seen such discrimination and abuse of the court systems.
My story deserves to be heard on news stations all around the country. I have lost jobs, houses, and children because the court system continues to allow women to get away with abusing it.
Currently, there are over 17 false charges on my record from ONE woman who continues to make false claims/ statements/ reports to the police department, commissioners, and judges. She uses false documentation to have false warrants issued against me repeatedly and nothing can be done to stop it. This woman has forged my name on the affidavit of paternity for her son, placing me on child support without my knowledge.
The court allows people to forge my name on court documents and submit them as if I were the one to submit them. False warrants have been issued because of lies that people continue to tell the court. A woman has filed child support against me in TWO states at the SAME time, which is child support fraud since she was collecting benefits from one state while collecting child support from BOTH states. I have the proof, the COURT even has the proof, yet when I stand before a judge, I get laughed at and turned away.
I have been denied DNA tests, getting slapped with child support because the WOMAN claims that I am the father in court. I have a reading disability (I am interpreting this email as my wife types it) and the court as well as the people involved in each case know that I am.
I have a another civil case that I am trying to file against the state of Maryland . My wife and I moved back to Maryland August 2010. The woman who has been placing false charges against me is named Matta Karimu. She has been filing false charges against me ever since 2006! In 2010, she placed more false allegations against me. I tried to go visit the little boy that she claims is mine at his home in Pioneer City in Severn , Maryland . Whenever I would try to visit, Matta would call the police. I even went with my wife, just to have a witness of how crazy she acts when I try to visit the child. She called the police then. She filed a false assault charge against me. She tried to slam the door in my wife's face, and I caught the door. She screamed, telling her oldest son to call the police because she said that I had hit her in the head with the door! She tried to put a protective order on me, but it was thrown out in circuit court because the judge (JUDGE HARRIS) realized she was lying and changing her story too many times. Yet and still, Matta used the temporary protective order to have a warrant placed out against me in December 21, 2010, 3 months later. How could a warrant for “Violation of protective order” be placed on me when there WAS NO ACTIVE protective order in the system?! How could a commissioner (COMMISSIONER SNOW) even sign that warrant when he could see for himself that the case had been appealed and dismissed by Judge Harris in circuit court?
The system makes too many mistakes on its citizen’s records. Those mistakes cost people their freedom, their family, their jobs, their lives! I can’t even get a job because there are over 17 charges on his record from Matta Karimu. Even though the charges have been dismissed, Nolle Prosequi, or dropped, they still show up on his background report, making me look like a repeat offender that just got away with it. My wife struggles to pay bills on her own everyday because I can’t get a job because of my record.
I am repeatedly harassed by the anne arundel county police department. My license has been suspended for "non compliance to a child support order" that I never even knew that I was on until I was arrested in November of 2010. The States Attorney's office refused to press criminal charges against Matta Karimu and the Internal Affair's unit refused to investigate the crime.
I filed a lawsuit against the State, Matta Karimu, and the Anne Arundel County Police Department. The state has been making mistakes on my record for over 6 years.
I have over 5 trespassing charges on my record. The government official, Maurice Price (Anne Arundel Housing Commission) says that I was convicted of a sexual assault charge and therefore am banned from all anne arundel housing communities and surrounding areas! I HAVE NEVER BEEN CONVICTED OF A SEXUAL ASSAULT CRIME! Because of those trespassing charges, I have been fired from jobs and denied from several apartment rental applications. Judge Mosely of the District Court of Anne Arundel county has heard his complaint and has found me guilty on all of those trespassing charges. She wouldn't hear me when I tried to explain to her that I was never charged with sexual assault. She used his false claims against me to find me guilty. She has defamed my name. I put in alawsuit back in 2007 when I was living in Goldsboro, North Carolina. It took the courts 8 months to even get it into the courts. When I asked them what was taking so long, they told me it was because I hadn't paid the $70 fee. I had to argue with them and go into my own records to pull out the receipt that THEY mailed back to me. The clerk went and found the file and they found the receipt. By the time it was in court, I didn't have the money to show up in court. A visiting judge made the ruling to dismiss the case. I am trying to reopen the case or start a whole new lawsuit.
There are 3 pages worth of charges on my record on the Maryland Judiciary Case Search. The majority of the cases were from Matta Karimu (the mother of my child) and Maurice Price. Matta Karimu has used false documentation (old protective orders that she tried to file against me that were thrown out in Circuit Court) to show to the police who in turn issue out false warrants for my arrest! So much of my paperwork as been mixed up in court. When I go to the clerks office to try and find out how the commissioner could issue warrants for violation of an ex parte when there is NO ACTIVE PROTECTIVE ORDER on file, they try and arrest me! I do not know what to do any more. I am lost. I am married and I watch my wife struggle to pay bills on her own. I cannot get a job because of the way the system has my record.
It is to the point now where I am bared from court houses and child support agencies just for asking questions about mistakes that THEY made against me. I am never allowed to speak in court. My story is never heard. I have so much evidence of wrongdoings that have been done to me, but no one will listen. Lawyers are afraid to go against judges or the state, afraid that one day they may have to work with those agencies. I have talked to over 40 lawyers about my issues with child support and with the issues that I have with a particular person filing false charges against me repeatedly.
I know this is a lot of information, but my story is worth being told. I know there are a lot of people out there experiencing the same problems with the State or with other people who are accusing them of crimes that they didn't commit.
Women have gotten away with fraud and purgery for too long. It's time to expose them.
