Sotterley Plantation Gets New Executive Director

Sotterley Plantation welcomes Michael J. Lane as the new Executive Director of the Sotterley Foundation, Inc.
Among his many accomplishments within the realm of non-profits, Mr. Lane has been the founding Director of Glensheen, a historic estate in Minnesota; the Executive Director of the Philadelphia Society for the Preservation of Landmarks; the President and CEO of the Historical Society of Carroll County; the Director of Finance and Administration for Historic Houses at Johns Hopkins University; an adjunct professor at several major colleges and universities; and worked as a consultant with historic organizations.
Mr. Lane has also served on numerous boards with an emphasis on historic preservation and conservation. He holds degrees from University of Scranton, University of Delaware, and University of Minnesota.
He replaces Catherine Kelly Elder as Executive Director, and is committed to continuing Sotterley's forward growth and momentum.
