Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued for Charles County

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Charles County, effective until 9:30pm EST in association with a cold front that will move through the area, triggering heavy rain, strong winds and the possibility of hail and tornadoes.
The National Weather Service said the storms are producing winds in excess of 60 mph associated with the front moving at 35 mph.
Advisories will likely be issued for Calvert County and St. Marys County in the next half hour.
