Charles County Sheriff’s detectives assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division have obtained an arrest warrant charging Harold Dean Rogers, 45, of no fixed address, in connection with an armed robbery of an employee at a gas station. A tip to Charles County Crime Solvers led detectives to Rogers’ identity.

On April 23 at 8:45 p.m., a lone male suspect entered the Shell gas station located in the 3100 block of Crain Highway in Waldorf, displayed a knife and demanded money. The clerk complied and the suspect fled.

Detectives obtained security footage which showed the suspect committing the robbery but at the time, the suspect’s identity was unknown. Surveillance photos were released and detectives subsequently received a tip through the Crime Solvers tip line identifying Rogers as the suspect.

An arrest warrant was obtained charging Rogers with armed robbery and detectives are seeking his whereabouts. Rogers is a white male, 5’10”, 260 lbs., with blue eyes. He is known to frequent the Baltimore area. Anyone with information is asked to call the Charles County Sheriff’s Office at (301) 932-2222. Callers wishing to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS or Text CHARLES + your tip to CRIMES or visit www.ccso.us to submit a web tip. A reward is being offered for information that leads to his arrest.
