Walden Behavioral Health Gets On the Bus to Promote Its Services
6/24/2012
In an effort to further build on its existing presence and name recognition in Southern Maryland, Walden Behavioral Health has launched a larger than life rolling billboard that will appear throughout Charles County on a VanGo bus.
Walden Community Engagement Manager Laura Webb described the bus as being “very eye-catching,” and said, "We are really hoping that folks in Charles County will see our bus and think about giving us a call or sharing our information with loved ones.” Walden provides mental health services and addiction treatment for area residents. Webb added, “For folks experiencing a mental health or substance use issue, the earlier we can get them help, the better.”
Walden’s Waldorf office, located at 85 High Street, is open Monday through Thursday from 2 – 8 p.m. Walden accepts Medicaid and thanks to a grant from the Charles County United Way's Women United in Giving program, they offer limited slots to uninsured and underinsured women in Charles County for low to no-cost psychiatric and mental health care. Services are also available at Walden’s facility in Charlotte Hall. Additional information is available by phone at 888-912-7366 and at www.waldensierra.org.
