Firefighters Battle Field Fire in Mechancisville
Mechancisville, MD - 6/28/2012

At 11:32 A.M. on Thursday, June 28, 2012, fire crews were alerted to the 26000 block of Thompson's Corner Road for the reported vehicle fire. As units were responding, police informed dispatch that it was a tractor fire that had extended to the field it was in causing approximately 3 acres of fire. Brush 2 arrived on scene and established command, started working to contain the fire, and upgraded the assignment for additional brush units and water supply units. Crews worked on scene for 1 hour and 16 minutes to control the fire and extinguish all "hot spots."
