 Navy Contract – June 26, 2012

Motorola Solutions, Inc., Columbia, Md., is being awarded a $16,495,982 firm-fixed-price contract for commercially available infrastructure components, voice logging recorders, dispatch console systems, and subscriber units in support of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Patuxent River, St. Inigoes, Md., Special Communications Requirements Division.  This equipment will be used to support the integration of a Project 25 public safety radio infrastructure for the United States Capitol Police areas of responsibility within the National Capital Region.  Work will be performed in Columbia, Md. (80 percent); Washington, D.C. (15 percent); and St. Inigoes, Md. (5 percent).  Work is expected to be completed in March 2013.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This contract was competitively procured via an electronic request for proposals, with two offers received.  The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J., is the contracting activity (N68335-12-C-0342).
