Fire and EMS units from Hollywood, Bay District stations 3 and 9 and Lexington Park Rescue squad stations 38 and 39 were dispatched for an aircraft fire at the St. Mary’s County airport at 8:02 p.m. Monday night.

The initial report was of an unknown aircraft on fire.

However, the fire was extinguished before any of the fire or EMS units arrived on the scene.

While there were no injuries, the damage to the private aircraft is unknown at press time.
