7/3/2012
From Classical Ballet to Hip-hop, dancers entertain audience with style.
From the opening number to the finale, dancers from The House of Dance delighted their audience during their spring showcase, "Back to the Future". The showcase, which was held on Saturday evening, June 16th at St. Mary's Ryken auditorium in Leonardtown, had something for everyone.
The wide variety of dances styles available at The House of Dance provided one show-stopping performance after another. Beautiful and elegant classical ballet was juxtaposed with modern, urban street Hip-hop and sexy Latin dances like the Bachata. Dancers of all ages from toddlers to adults displayed their skills for the large audience filled with supportive family and friends.
House of Dance owner and instructor, Donna Jordan was thrilled with the final production saying, "It takes months of hard work by the dancers and teaching staff to pull it all together. Tonight's spectacular performance was an exhilarating reflection of their talent and dedication."
Even though the months of extra effort that goes into a large production is now finished, The House of Dance staff is still teaching classes. The summer sessions started the following Monday and will continue in 4 week sessions throughout the summer. The next four week session will begin the week of July 23rd, and space is still available for anyone interested in signing up for class.
A complete list of upcoming classes is available online at www.thehouseofdance.org.
