Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-5) met with defense contractors from Patuxent River Naval Air Station on July 3 to discuss implementation of new directives from the Office of Management and Budget and the Department of Defense.

“I want to thank our local defense contractors for meeting with me today to discuss the implementation of these directives and how it may impact the defense community,” stated Congressman Hoyer. “I am committed to the success of these businesses, and will continue working with these industry leaders so that we can protect and create jobs and ensure these businesses can grow and expand.” 

Congressman Hoyer told the group that he would facilitate a larger meeting of contractors within the next couple of weeks to meet with the NAVAIR Command leadership team to discuss an implementation plan in conjunction with the local contracting community.
