CCSO Detectives Seek Additional Information about Homicide on Kent Avenue

Reward of up to $6,000 Offered by CCSO and Charles County Crime Solvers
The Charles County Sheriff’s Office is seeking additional information regarding the homicide of Martin Hawkins Jr., 32, of La Plata, who was shot and killed on April 18 in the 200 block of Kent Avenue in La Plata.
Since the shooting, detectives have conducted extensive neighborhood canvasses and other operations in an effort to seek suspect information.
While numerous people have called, investigators need more information. In an effort to generate additional tips, the CCSO is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment of the suspect(s). Charles County Crime Solvers is also offering an additional reward of up to $1,000.
