Follow Up To Fire at IDF Dialysis Center
Prince Frederick, MD - 7/24/2012
The fire that took place at the Independent Dialysis Foundation-Calvert Dialysis Center last Thursday at 225 W. Dares Beach Road in Prince Frederick has rendered the facility temporarily closed. We are very grateful that no patients were in the building when the fire took place and our three staff members escaped without harm.
All patients have been contacted and arrangements have been made for them to continue to receive their care with IDF staff at local dialysis clinics including Calvert Memorial Hospital and Renal Care Partners of Prince Frederick. If a patient or physician needs assistance they may contact Kelley Brown at 410-468-0900.
We extend our most sincere appreciation to the many firefighters and emergency personnel who responded valiantly to the fire as well as our medical colleagues throughout the county who immediately offered assistance and support to ensure our patients did not have any disruption in their care.
Repairs to the building are already underway and we anticipate a speedy return to our facility. Dr. Ciaran Browne, nephrologist and medical director, will also continue to accept and see new patients without interruption. Patients can reach Dr. Browne and her office staff directly by calling 410-414-2119.
For the convenience of our patients and families, updates will be posted routinely at our website at www.idfdn.org.
