7/28/2012
By Mike Wilson
Early Saturday morning, fire and EMS units from Lexington Park and Hollywood were dispatched for a single vehicle crash into a pole on north bound Route 235 and St. Andrews Church Road.
En route the first responders were advised the accident was just north of By-the-mill Road.
The first arriving units found a black Chevrolet pickup off the roadway into a tree. The pickup had struck and damaged three power poles before coming to a stop at the tree.
Despite the damage to the poles and truck, the driver was not injured.
SMECO and Metrocast crews are restoring service at press time.
