Two Men Charged With Burglaries at Potomac Self Storage

During the months of June and July 2012 police units responded to Potomac Self Storage and Patuxent Self Storage located in Lexington Park, Maryland for the report of multiple burglaries to storage units wherein various personal items were stolen.

On July 27, 2012 police units responded to a residence in Lexington Park for the report of a disturbance.  Upon arrival the officers observed stolen property believed to be from the storage units and the owner of one of the storage units attempting to retrieve his stolen property from two male subjects.

BCI was contacted and assumed the investigation.  Following interviews with the suspects and the execution of two search and seizure warrants, multiple stolen items were recovered. 

Troy D. Cutchember, age 21, of California, Md. and Vashon V. Wills, age 21, of Lexington Park, Md. were arrested, charged with two (2) counts of 2nd Degree Burglary, two (2) counts of Malicious Destruction of Property over $500, three (3) counts of Theft over $1,000 but less than $10,000 and incarcerated in the St. Mary’s County Detention Center under no bond.

Numerous additional charges are pending following a review by the State’s Attorney’s Office.
