TrespassingOn August 31, 2012 Steven Roger Jerome, Jr. 25 of Leonardtown, Maryland was served with a notice not to trespass in the Hickory Hill South subdivision.  On July 24, 2012 he entered onto the property of the Hickory Hills subdivision in violation of the notice not to trespass.  Jerome was charged with trespassing.

Second Degree AssaultOn July 25, 2012 deputies responded to a residence on Rue Purchase Road in Lexington Park, Maryland for a report of an assault.  Investigation revealed Rodney Wade Wright, 42 of Lexington Park, Maryland engaged in a verbal dispute with two individuals at the residence.  The dispute escalated into a physical assault when Wright punch the one victim and threw the second victim to the ground.  As deputies were investigating the assaults Wright attempted to flee on foot.  Deputies yelled for Wright to stop but he refused.  After a short foot chase deputies caught up with Wright but he continued to resist arrest.  Wright was eventually handcuffed and charged with two count of second degree assault, failing to obey a lawful order of a police officer and resisting arrest.

TheftOn July 26, 2012 deputies responded to the WaWa in Lexington Park, Maryland for a report of a theft.  Investigation revealed Philip Jerome Ford, 56 of California, Maryland removed items from the store shelf, walked past all points of purchase and exited business without paying for the items.  Ford was arrested and charged with theft.

Theft and Theft SchemeOn July 26, 2012 deputies responded to the Wal-Mart for a report of theft.  In May of 2012 Wal-Mart Loss Prevention Officers were advised of a possible theft scheme involving diesel oil containers from the store.  Wal-Mart Loss Prevention initiated an investigation and reviewed surveillance footage.  The surveillance footage revealed that Robin Lynn Thomas-Bailey 45 of Leonardtown, Maryland had entered the store on at least two occasions and stole diesel fuel containers, a lawn mower and other items.  The value of the stolen merchandise exceeded $700.00.  Thomas-Bailey was arrested and charged with theft and theft scheme.

Second Degree AssaultOn July 26, 2012 deputies responded to a residence on Valley Court in Lexington Park, Maryland for a report of an assault.  Investigation revealed Michael Joseph Harrison, 45 of Lexington Park, Maryland was engaged in a verbal dispute with the victim which escalated into a physical assault when Harrison choked the victim.  Harrison was arrested and charged with second degree assault.

Second Degree AssaultOn July 27, 2012 deputies responded to a residence on Lawrence Avenue in Leonardtown, Maryland for a report of an assault.  Investigation revealed Tyler Allen Messick, 19 of Leonardtown, Maryland was engaged in a verbal dispute with the victim which escalated into a physical assault when Messick struck the victim in the face.  Messick fled prior to the deputies’ arrival but was located a short time later, arrested and charged with second degree assault.

TrespassingOn July 29, 2012 deputies responded to a residence on Town Creek Drive in Lexington Park, Maryland for a report of a dispute.  Upon arrival deputies made contact with the complainant who advised Fredy Herman Eatman II, 47 of N.W. Washington DC was at the residence and refusing to leave.  The complainant again told Eatman to leave the residence and he refused.  Eatman was arrested and charged with trespassing.

First Degree AssaultOn July 28, 2012 deputies responded to a residence of Fairground Road in Leonardtown, Maryland for a report of an assault.  Investigation revealed that on July 28, 2012 from approximately 10:15 pm until 11:30 pm, Richard Lewis Goldsmith, 43 of Leonardtown, Maryland held the victim against her will, displayed a knife and threatened to kill the victim.  Further investigation revealed Goldsmith stabbed a pillow which was lying next to the victim several time with the knife.  The victim was able to escape from Goldsmith when he temporarily released his grasp of her.  The victim fled from the residence and called 911.  Goldsmith fled the residence prior to the deputies’ arrival but responded to the Sheriff’s Office Headquarters a short time later.  Goldsmith was arrested and charged with first degree assault, second degree assault and false imprisonment.
