Sex Offender Arrested For Providing False Information

Shane Adam Corcoran, age 24 of California
The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender Registry Unit conducted compliance checks of numerous registered sexual offenders within St. Mary’s County.
While conducting the compliance checks in July BCI detectives learned Shane Adam Corcoran, age 24 of California, Maryland provided false information to the sex offender registry.
On July 30, 2012, detectives located Corcoran at a business in Charlotte Hall, Maryland where he was arrested and charged with intentionally providing false information to the sex offender registry.
Corcoran remains incarcerated at the St. Mary’s County Detention Center in lieu of $3,000 bond.
