Commissioner Collins to Hold News Conference on Juvenile Detention Center

Despite significant public opposition, the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services has started the process of acquiring property located in the Acton Lane Industrial Park in Waldorf to construct a proposed regional juvenile detention center.

Charles County Commissioner Vice President Reuben B. Collins, II (District 3) is hosting a news conference on Monday, August 13, to highlight the issue and make a statement about why an alternative site in Hughesville would be a more suitable location for the detention center.

Hughesville is no better than Waldorf. If Collins was not behind the scenes playing ball he would push for Calvert or PG near Calvert. These Politicians are not surprised its just that their good old boy Democrate Administration screwed them over but you do not see anyone calling O'Malley on it. They selected Waldorf since our Leader's approved anything that benefits the developer's and to hell with the citizens. God only knows if the puppets on Planning and growth get involved it would be upped to a 1,000 crminal kids!
