Investigation Into Complaint Of Possible Assault At Camp

The St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) is conducting an investigation into a complaint of a possible assault at the Camp Ernest W. Brown located in Scotland, Maryland.  Administrators at Camp Brown contacted local police when they learned of assault allegations involving Camp Brown staff counselors.  The investigation was routinely forward to BCI detectives for follow-up investigation. 

Camp Brown is operated by the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington D.C.

The investigation is active and ongoing.At this time no arrests have been made and no charges have been filed.Officials at the camp are cooperating fully with the investigation and anyone with information regarding this matter is asked to contact Sgt. Steven Koch at (301) 475-4200 x1963.
