Watermen have long made their living pulling crabs, oysters and fish from the Chesapeake Bay. But alligators? That's something else altogether.

That's where R.J. and Jay Paul Molinere come in. The Louisiana watermen and stars of the wildly popular History Channel show "Swamp People" will be in town for the 6th annual TOYOTA/SCION of Waldorf’s BuckWild Outdoors Expo, held Aug. 24-26 at the Charles County Fairgrounds in La Plata.

The Expo has expanded for the first time to three days and it offers something for outdoorsmen of all ages and interests. Celebrity guests have always been a big draw and this year is no different.

R.J. and Jay Paul Molinere, the father-son alligator hunters from Houma, La., will meet with fans and sign autographs throughout the weekend.

They'll share tales of their dangerous hunts, outings that often end with the duo pulling from the murky water prehistoric creatures measuring more than 10 feet long and weighing hundreds of pounds. Ask them how they got a 13 1/2-foot gator onto their 12-foot boat.

R.J. channels his Native American ancestry while on the hunt has been teaching those traditions to his son since Jay Paul was just 3 years old. They are a formidable new team on the bayou and they're ready to give anyone a run for their money.

In the offseason, on dry land, R.J. is a world-champion arm wrestler, while Jay Paul is a Golden Gloves champion boxer and an accomplished mixed martial arts fighter.

R.J. and Jay Paul will be meeting with fans from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. R.J. will stick around on Sunday and meet fans from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
