Regency Furniture Stadium and The Phoenix Radio To Present Phoenix Fest 2012 Featuring Over 12 Bands

The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs have teamed up with The Phoenix Radio Station to present Phoenix Fest 2012 at Regency Furniture Stadium on Saturday, August 18 beginning at 12:00pm.  The purpose of Phoenix Fest is to give the Southern Maryland Region a chance to come and check out all of the local music talent in the area at one stationary spot throughout the day.

The all day event will begin at 12:00pm and last throughout the Blue Crabs game vs. the Sugar Land Skeeters that will be topped off with a fireworks show presented by The Winegardner Auto Group.   The event will include more than 12 acts.  The following bands will be featured during the day:

·Funkzilla

·Three Notch Country

·No Luck For Landes

·Tonight’s Alibi

·Hannah Zaic

·Mark Glass

·The Sara Gray Band

·Yellowtieguy

·Fight The Lion

“This is another example of how Regency Furniture Stadium is so much more than a baseball stadium.  We continue to try and find ways to keep this venue a multi-faceted venue for not just your average baseball fan, but for fans interested in music, sports, entertainment, etc,” said Blue Crabs General Manager Joel Seiden. “ We are excited about teaming up with The Phoenix Radio for this event, and look forward to helping introduce the local music scene to Southern Maryland on Saturday.”

Fans will have the opportunity to purchase food and drink throughout the day from the stadium concession stands. There will be two stage areas along with an acoustic area located in the stadium picnic pavilion. Tickets are just $13.00 and are valid for the Phoenix Fest as well as the Blue Crabs game later that evening beginning at 6:35pm.  Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance by logging onto www.somdbluecrabs.com or stopping by the Regency Furniture Stadium Box Office.
