St. Mary's County Crime Report

Second Degree AssaultOn August 23, 2012 deputies responded to a residence on Tenby Drive in Lexington Park, Maryland for a report of a disturbance.  Investigation revealed Ryant Lamar Carr, 31 of Lexington Park, Maryland was engaged in a verbal dispute with the victim which escalated into a physical assault when Carr grabbed the victim by the throat and chest.  Carr was arrested and charged with second degree assault.

Second Degree Assault & HinderingOn August 24, 2012 deputies responded to Lawrence Avenue in Leonardtown for a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival deputies could hear screaming coming from the residence.  The deputies knocked several times and identified themselves but occupants refused to answer the door.  The deputies checked the door handle and discovered the door to the residence unlocked.  Concerned for the safety of those inside the residence the deputies entered the residence.  Deputies continued to hear yelling and crying from a room at the rear of the residence.  Deputies checked the door to the room and discovered it was locked.  Deputies again knocked on the door several times and identified themselves.  The parties inside the room refused to open the door.  Deputies continued to hear yelling and crying so to the deputies began kicking the door in attempt to open it.  Stacy Lashawn Holly 22 of Leonardtown, Maryland eventually opened the door and identified herself.  Deputies could see another individual in the room crying.  Holly refused to step from the room or cooperate with the deputies commands.  Holly was arrested for hindering.  Further investigation revealed Holly had been in a verbal dispute with the other individual in the house later identified as the victim.  The verbal dispute escalated into a physical assault when Holly held a wooden walking cane to the victim’s throat.  Holly was charged with second degree assault.

First Degree Burglary & Destruction of PropertyOn August 25, 2012 deputies responded to a residence on Hills Drive in Mechanicsville, Maryland for a report of a burglary.  Investigation revealed Adam Kingsly Graham 24 of Windsor Mill, Maryland entered the victim’s residence by pushing a window air conditioning unit through a rear window of the residence.  The air conditioning unit was damaged during the burglary.  An independent witness observed Graham walking in and out of the residence.  The witness contacted the police and Graham was arrested.  Graham was charged with first degree burglary and destruction of property.

Second Degree AssaultOn August 26, 2012 deputies responded to a local bar in Mechanicsville for a report of disorderly subjects.  Cpl. Fleenor arrived on the scene.  Cpl. Fleenor contacted the security at the establishment.  Security asked Cpl. Fleenor to assist with clearing the parking lot of disorderly subjects.  Cpl. Fleenor approached a group of individuals which included Rachel Kathleen Craddock 23 of Hollywood, Maryland and directed them to leave.  Craddock refused to leave and struck Cpl. Fleenor.  Craddock was arrested and charged with second degree assault.

Second Degree AssaultOn August 27, 2012 deputies responded to a residence on Bayne Road in Ridge, Maryland for a report of a disturbance.  Investigation revealed Deborah Gail Dudley 23 of Ridge, Maryland was engaged in a verbal dispute with the victim which escalated into a physical assault when Dudley struck the victim in the back of the head.  Dudley was arrested and charged with second degree assault.
