Early Friday evening, Oct. 19, fire and EMS units from the Second District Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad and the Lexington Park Rescue Squad were dispatched for a car accident involving two vehicles at the intersection of Piney Point and Happyland Roads.

First arriving fire units arrived at 6:07 p.m. and reported one injured.

Trooper 7 flew the patient to a trauma center at 7:01p.m.
