St. Mary's Sheriff's Office Holds Open House

The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office held an open house on Saturday both inside and outside at their headquarters at the government center in Leonardtown. Activities included a K-9 demonstration and mock police chase, taser demonstrations, and tour of the detention center.

Displays included Ridge Fire Safety Trailer, DWI simulator, child safety seat installation, National Guard obstacle course, the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office explosive robot, child identification kits, internet safety demonstrations and face painting.

There was food available from Bear Creek and free Halloween bags, promotional items and treats for kids were handed out.
