On Wednesday, December 12 at 9 a.m. Bayside Chevrolet Toyota in Prince Frederick presented a $6,400 check to the Kiwanis Club for the needy in Calvert County.Bayside’s contribution is based on the number of vehicles it sold in November. The ceremony took place in the Toyota Showroom.
The Kiwanis Club finds deserving families, shops for them and then delivers their Christmas presents to them. Working with the Kiwanis Club at Christmas has been an annual event that started in 1993.
Since the inception of this program Bayside has provided over $83,000 to support this program.
Geoff Wanamaker, president of Bayside said, “We just provide the funds. The Kiwanis Club does all the work of finding families and shopping for them.We would not be able to this without the help of the Kiwanis Club.”
