Commissioner President Wayne Cooper to Attend County Leadership Institute
Charles County - 5/14/2007
|
County Commissioner President Wayne Cooper has been selected by the Maryland Association of Counties (MACo) to represent the State of Maryland at the County Leadership Institute at New York University's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service in New York City. Commissioner Cooper, along with 26 other participants from across the United States, will travel to New York on May 29 and will attend program courses through June 2. Up to 30 participants are chosen each year to participate in the County Leadership Institute. Only one participant from each state can be nominated per year. The institute enables elected officials to gain knowledge, while networking with other officials from across the country, and is a joint endeavor between the National Association of Counties (NACo) and New York University. This nomination by MACo is a first time honor for Commissioner Cooper. |
