With support from the Maryland Department of Transportation's State Highway Administration and the Maryland Highway Safety Office, the Department of Public and Community Health of The University of Maryland has developed the “Monitoring the Future of Maryland: A Survey of Highway Safety Issues.” The purpose of this survey is to collect public opinions on county residents’ opinions of local enforcement efforts directed to impaired and aggressive drivers, knowledge of various traffic safety laws, and commuting distances. It takes approximately 10 minutes to complete the survey and it is confidential. Your participation in the survey will be valuable in providing the state and local highway safety directors with information on how to better direct limited highway safety funding to the state and local governments. Please consider forwarding this survey to your friends, coworkers and family members, we are hoping to get as many county residents as possible responding to the survey questions.
