Fishy Graffiti; Random Thefts; More Prince Frederick Trooper Reports

Shed Ransacked
During the overnight hours of Aug. 2, an unknown culprit forcibly entered a shed on Cassell Blvd., Prince Frederick.  At this time, nothing has been reported stolen.  Trooper Laziuck is handling the investigation.

Scrap Snatched
On Aug. 3, an employee of L & L Enterprise, Keith Lane, Owings, reported that an unknown culprit had removed several 1x1 steel plates from a scrap area abutting their business.  Trooper Ewig is handling the investigation.

Fishy Graffitti
On Aug. 6, between 2 -5 p.m., an unknown culprit spray painted a mailbox, a road sign, and the roadway on German Chapel Road, Prince Frederick. The graffiti included drawings of fish.  Trooper Stern is handling the investigation.

Girl’s Purple Bike Gone
On Aug. 6, a resident of Serenity Court, Prince Frederick, reported that an unknown culprit had removed a girl’s 6-speed mountain bike, purple in color, from her front yard.  Trooper Stern is handling the investigation.

Pot Pipe Sends Driver to Jail
At 9:15 p.m. Aug. 6, Trooper Bodnar stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Route 2/4, in Solomons.
A computer check revealed that the operator, James Charles Briggs, Jr., 22, of Lexington Park, was driving on a suspended license.  Incident to arrest, a CDS smoking device containing suspected marijuana was recovered from the vehicle.
Briggs was charged with possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia.  After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.
