Welcome Home Fund-Raiser Set for Deputy Seriously Hurt in Crash

After a lengthy stay in the hospital and rehabilitation center, Deputy Johnny Coates of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office, is finally coming home.

Coates was injured in a vehicle crash on June 9 near Brickhouse Road in Dunkirk. (Story).

There will be welcome home party for Coates at the Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department on Saturday, Sept. 1. Tickets are $20 at the door and $15 in advance. All donations collected will be given to Deputy Coats.

Deputy Coates is doing very well. His family and all members of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office would like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who has supported him and extended good wishes during his recuperation.
