Two Students Arrested After Bus Fight

 At 2:23 p.m. Wednesday, St. Mary’s Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a fight aboard a school bus on Spring Valley Drive near Timber Valley Court in Lexington Park.

 According to Dep. Allen, public information officer for the Sheriff’s Office, two male students, ages 11 and 13, got into a verbal argument that escalated into an assault.

 After police and school officials on the scene figured out the situation, both students were charged.

 The 13-year-old was charged on a youth report with assault and disrupting school activities. The 11-year-old was charged with disrupting school activities.

 The bus was reportedly from Esperanza Middle School.

Outcome???
Will they be expelled from riding any bus or just a slap on the wrist on be allowed to ride the bus again and possibly put all the other kids, the bus driver and other motorist in danger by getting into another fight????

The bus driver has to look out for the other kids, quickly pull the bus off the road and watch out for other motorist while doing so.
This should be a Zero Tolerance issue. Let the parents deal with it and take them to school every day. Or send them to Leonard Hall to shape them up.

If the idiotic editor had gotten the whole story and tell people the truth we wouldn't have to worry about issues such as this. Instead… it would be a case of how it was handled by the authorities.

Turns out that it was another boy who started it. The boy that was charged with the assault was the one getting beat up on and the little brother. .. the 11 year old "who is a very polite quiet kid" I must say, jumped in to save his brother. Now tell me you would not have done the same. If your brother was on his knees covering his head while he was getting beat, You wouldn't try to do anything? And...the way that deputy snatched that little 11 year old off the bus like that leaving a bruise on his arm ought to be charged with child abuse.

Chew on that!

Who exactly are you, and how did you see it? Are you the bus driver? Are you someone that saw it? Are you a kid on the bus? Are you the kid that got beat up? If so, call the St. Mary's Sheriff Department if your concerned.
The way most kids act, especially in this county, they need to be snatched up like that, because their negligent parents sure won't do it.
Now, you chew on that.

Let's just say that someone in Washington caught wind of this, looking at footage, is not very pleased at the way it was handled. It's been said that the boy who started this has been warned many times to leave the 13 year old alone saying such words that shouldn't come out of a child's mouth like that. I do agree that sometimes a child needs a good scare but you don't touch a child like that and leave bruises. If the parent had done that they'd be charged with child abuse. It's been said that the parents of both the boys will be meeting to get to the bottom of and nip it in the butt now. Totally agree.

My question to you is are you the deputy? If so, you need to control your anger before you loose your badge or before you're sitting in front of a congressional committee.

If you're the editor, I apologize for calling you an idiot.
