At 2:35 p.m. Thursday, Lexington Park rescue volunteers were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash on Great Mills Road in Lexington Park, near the intersection with Shangri-La Drive.

First-arriving firefighters found what appeared to a be a head-on crash, and all three occupants were already out of the vehicles.

Lexington Park Volunteer Rescue Squad members took signed refusals from the three.

But before the signatures were collected another crash occurred across the street from the first scene. This time someone did get hurt.

Lexington Park VRS Ambulance 399 took a female St. Mary’s Hospital with non- life-threatening injuries.

See slideshow below for images from the scene.
